My brother was at HMS GANGES in1952 ,he also joined HMS INDOMITABLE but was killed in the explosion which occured in 1953 at the time of his death he was 17 years old ,he would have been 19 on the 17-03-1953, please reply if possible . How right you are, your picture made me go weak at the knees, I only made it to the second yardarm and that was pure hell, I was there in 1967/68, discipline was hard but fair, all Ganges recruits were know as TROGS (training recruits of Ganges) and trained there for 10 months before moving onto specialist job training, in my case Hms Mercury communications branch training.
